Ron Bacon started in the flooring business in 1963, learning the trade from his father laying Marley thermo-plastic tiles and linoleum. He went on to gain valuable experience in the installation of woodstrip flooring and became involved with the installation of Junckers beech flooring when it was first introduced to the UK, laying squash courts as the sport swept the country.
At a young age it was Ron's decision to learn every aspect of the flooring trade that led to him getting trained in carpet laying to keep pace with demand and ultimately led to involvement in some of the most prestigious carpet installations in the Gulf, for Sheraton and Hyatt Regency Hotels, not to
mention Trust House Forte in London.
